The owners’ vision was to create a space inspired by southwest design, a space that would fit naturally into the stunning landscape of canyons, mountains, buttes, gorges, slot canyons, and deserts. The Quiet Shelters refuge is open simplified living that feels spacious yet not overwhelming. Built with clean lines, concrete floors, and countertops, and windows on all sides, you will love how light shifts in the mornings and afternoons.
Grab your cup of coffee at dawn and sit in the rock table courtyard. The rising sun turns the sandstone butte behind the property a dazzling pink. In the afternoon lounge and BBQ in the shaded east patio with glimpses of the continuing Southern Utah desert. Meditate as you walk on the gravel pathways around the casita, or continue off the property on state land trails behind the house. Being a “dark sky city” stargazing is a must as night sets in. The owners’ hope is you fall deeply in love with this space and land as they have. Their goal is to make your stay comfortable, inviting, and easy.
